The Presidential Scholarship
The Honors College offers tomorrow’s leaders and innovators Georgia State’s highest academic award. The Presidential Scholarship provides incoming first-year students with various benefits for eight semesters at Georgia State.
Research and Fellowships
Housed in the Honors College, the Office of Undergraduate Research & Fellowships encourages all Georgia State students and alumni to pursue undergraduate research and national award and fellowship opportunities.
The Stamps and Presidential Scholarships
Note: These scholarships are open only to incoming first-year students who have not previously attended college (not including dual-enrollment). Students will fill out one application and be considered for both awards.
These scholarships are Georgia State’s most valuable academic awards. The value totals up to about $28,000 per year.

Scholarships for Current Georgia State Honors College Students
We offer various different scholarships and awards exclusively to our Honors College students. Most of the applications do not open until the spring semester, but it’s never too late to start investing your time and preparing.
Along with being in good standing with the Honors College, students much meet separate eligibility requirements for each award. We recommend learning more about each award and, of course, you can apply for more than one.
FALL SEMESTER DATES
Fall 2021 Study Abroad Scholarship opens: September 2021
All other scholarship and awards: Opening Spring 2022
Office of Undergraduate Research & Fellowships
Students, seeking to elevate their college experience, work with the Office of Undergraduate Research & Fellowships (OURF) to determine appropriate research, award, and fellowship opportunities, identify resources and engage in experiences designed to make them competitive in their field and prepare them for a lifetime of success.
OURF offers a variety of programs to help students compete for these transformative experiences.
The Beckman Scholars Program
The Beckman Scholars Program will give talented students the opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary, state-of-the-art, faculty-mentored research and numerous professional development opportunities so they are well positioned to pursue their graduate educations and careers.
Two Beckman Scholars will be named each spring semester for three years, starting in 2021. Beckman Scholars will receive $21,000 over 15 months, including travel and supplies, and their faculty mentors will receive $5,000 to support educational expenses for their scholars.
