- Biography
Emily Buis is an academic advisor for the Georgia State University Honors College, where she also coordinates the University Assistantship Program, Honors Theses and the Thesis Pitch Competition. Ms. Buis has been an advisor for Georgia State since 2014, most recently spearheading the U.S. Department of Education’s First in the World Grant: MAAPS.
She is cited in print and digital publications including POLITICO, WABE and The Hechinger Report. Ms. Buis’ platform passions are supporting the first-generation college student and overarching student success. When she isn’t at Centennial Hall, you’ll find Ms. Buis volunteering as an official docent at the High Museum of Art Atlanta.
