- Have you applied for National Scholarships or Internships?
- I interned at Walmart Global Tech, which as a company is fortune 1, so I’m proud to have been able to work with a company of that caliber. The internship reignited my reason for why I enjoyed engineering and helped me focus on how I wanted to hone my skillset. I interned there twice and have received a return offer to go back to work as a cyber security engineer which I’m super excited about.
- Do you have Study Abroad experience?
- I went to Osaka, Japan to study at Osaka University. To be fair, I used this more as a life experience rather than purely academic since I was basically done with my main major. Covid stopped me from going to London my first year, so I decided to use my last year to experience going abroad. I think the biggest takeaway when you go to a foreign country without any knowledge of the language is that patience and simple faith that things work out for the best can really help you make the most out of an experience and can form lifelong friendships.
- What are you most looking forward to in the next year?
- I’m in my last semester and I have a wonderful job offer, so I’m really looking forward to the next chapter. I’m going to try to spend as much time chatting with my mentors and advisors during my time here and at the same time try some new restaurants around campus.
- What is your favorite class?
- My favorite class was my class on Jimmy Carter with Dr. Larry Berman. I feel like it completely changed my perception on how the executive branch operates and how we should view the president. It also helped me understand what type of leader I would like to be.
