Internships are an essential part of the Honors College experience and can be a transformative experience. The Georgia State Honors College works diligently to help place students in a variety of internships across Atlanta, in Washington, D.C. and across the United Kingdom. We believe that through internships, students develop career-related skills and abilities and the chance to apply classroom knowledge and skills in a professional environment. They learn more about a career field and gain a better understanding of what the professional environment is really like. These experiences also give students the ability to develop a network of professional contacts and develop a mentoring relationship with professionals. An internship can serve as the launching pad for a lifetime of achievement.
