University Faculty Award for Undergraduate Research Call for Nominations
The 16th annual Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference will be held online April 13 -14. As part of the preparation for this exciting event, the GSURC Advisory Board is currently soliciting nominations for the Faculty Award for Undergraduate Research. To recognize the diversity of faculty who go above and beyond in their commitment to undergraduate research and scholarship, we will award up to three outstanding faculty members. Each recipient will receive a $300 honorarium and a commemorative plaque. Honorees will be asked to create a three- to five-minute video highlighting their work with undergraduates to be posted on the GSURC website after the conference.
Successful nominees for the Faculty Award for Undergraduate Research must be permanent, full-time Georgia State faculty members with a demonstrated commitment to mentoring and supporting undergraduate students in any of the following types of research activities:
- Faculty mentored project or laboratory-based research.
- Faculty mentored creative projects and research in fine arts and the humanities.
- Faculty mentored research in policy, entrepreneurship, education and social sciences.
Nominations may come from any member of the Georgia State community. The deadline to submit your nominations for the 2022 University Faculty Award is Monday, February 21st.
University Faculty Award for Undergraduate Research Nomination Acceptance
The deadline for 2022 University Faculty Award nominations is Monday, February 21, 2022. Nominees must complete the following form by Monday, March 21, 2022. Incomplete nominations will not be considered. Nomination materials will be reviewed by the GSURC Advisory Board with the final decision being announced at the GSURC Awards ceremony in mid-April.
This year, GSURC will recognize up to three outstanding faculty with this award. Each recipient will receive a $300 honorarium and a commemorative plaque.
