Virtual Orientation
Due to COVID-19 we are unable to host our annual in-person orientation sessions. However, we hope that this website will provide you with the necessary resources and information to assist in your student’s transition to Georgia State.
If your student has not already registered for their virtual new student orientation session, please encourage them to sign up now.
At orientation, they will meet with honors advisors who will help them register for the Fall 2020 courses.
If you have any additional questions regarding the information you see here, please contact us at honors@gsu.edu.
Ways to Engage
Additional Resources
Office of National Scholarships and Fellowships
ONSF provides your student with information about national awards that align with their interests and helps connect them with high impact activities, internships, scholarships and fellowships that could strengthen their overall development. In addition, ONSF will read all of your student’s application essays and prepare them for interviews.
University Assistantship Program
The University Assistantship Program is designed to match students with a research department or professional office of interest at Georgia State. Being an assistant is an opportunity for your student to work on special projects or faculty-mentored research while earning an annual stipend of up to $2,500. Incoming first-year students have received emailed instructions about applying and are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible for best consideration. If you have questions about the program, contact Emily Buis at ebuis@gsu.edu.
