Requirements & Criteria
Students who wish to be considered for the incoming freshman class need only to complete the Georgia State admissions application, preferably by the Early Action deadline. Admission is limited to approximately the top 200 applicants of each incoming class, all of whom receive some form of merit scholarship from Georgia State. The Honors College will review applications, test scores and transcripts and will notify successful candidates.
The average score of accepted students for Fall 2014 was approximately 1300 SAT (math and verbal sections only) and/or 29 ACT Composite score. The average high school GPA (core, unweighted) was 3.8.

Current Georgia State Students
Currently enrolled Georgia State students may apply to the Honors College upon completion of between 12 and 60 hours of coursework while maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.5 or better. Transfer students with a 3.5 GPA and between 30 and 60 completed credit hours are also welcome to apply. Applications will be accepted through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2015.
All completed applications will be evaluated by the Honors College application committee beginning July 1; applicants will be notified of their status by July 31.
