Requirements & Criteria
Students who wish to be considered for the incoming freshman class need only to complete the Georgia State admissions application, preferably by the Early Action deadline. Admission is limited to approximately the top 5-7% of each incoming class, for best consideration students are encouraged to apply to Georgia State by the Early Action deadline (November 15, 2016). The Honors College will review applications, test scores and transcripts and will notify successful candidates.
The average score of accepted students for Fall 2016 was approximately 1360 SAT (math and verbal sections only; Old SAT) and/or 30/31 ACT Composite score. The average high school GPA (core, unweighted) was 3.85.

Current Georgia State Students
Students who have completed at least 12 hours of coursework* while enrolled at Georgia State University and have a minimum 3.5 Georgia State GPA may apply for admission to the Honors College. The Honors College application will reopen on Friday, December 16.
*Less than 60 credit hours is strongly encouraged. Students with more than 60 credit hours will be required to supplement applications with descriptions of proposed honors coursework.
